KinTypes community rules

Recognition requires safety. These rules apply to profiles, kintypes, posts, comments, images, source records, messages to support, and every other shared KinTypes surface. KinTypes is for people age 13 and older, and shared surfaces are safe-for-work.

1. Respect identities without demanding proof

Treat another person’s account of their identity as theirs. Do not harass, mock, invalidate, diagnose, or interrogate people over an identity. Do not pressure anyone to disclose canon memories, trauma, disability, diagnosis, legal identity, body details, or other private information. Disagreement is not permission to target someone.

2. Honor boundaries

Respect qualified boundaries such as Doubles INT (interact), Doubles IWC (interact with caution), Doubles DNI (do not interact), and Sourcemates INT. Interact with caution is meaningful only with the person’s note explaining what caution means for them.

These labels express requested interaction around a kintype. They do not give anyone ownership of a character or source, authorize harassment, or create an account-level technical barrier. Use Hide for curation and Block for an enforced account boundary. Do not evade a Block or recruit other people to contact someone who has blocked you.

3. No harassment, hate, threats, or exposure

Do not threaten, stalk, dogpile, shame, exploit, blackmail, or dehumanize people. No hateful conduct or promotion of violence based on race, ethnicity, nationality, religion, caste, disability, sex, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, age, or another protected or vulnerable trait.

Never publish or threaten to publish another person’s private information, legal name, face, location, school, workplace, private messages, medical information, or off-platform identity without permission. Do not encourage self-harm, suicide, eating-disorder behavior, or dangerous “proof” of an identity. Supportive discussion and recovery-oriented conversation are allowed; instructions or coercion are not.

4. Protect minors and keep shared surfaces safe-for-work

No child sexual abuse material, grooming, sexual exploitation, sexualization of minors, or sexual solicitation involving a minor. This includes real, fictional, illustrated, generated, and role-play content. Apparent child exploitation may be preserved and reported to the appropriate authorities as required by law.

Do not post pornography, sexually explicit images or writing, fetish content, sexual services, or sexual solicitation on shared KinTypes surfaces. Do not use identity presentation, age-play, or source canon to bypass consent or age boundaries. Limited non-graphic discussion of sexuality, relationships, abuse recovery, or source material may be allowed when it is relevant, appropriately framed, and not sexualized.

5. Consent and authenticity matter

Do not impersonate another person, misrepresent an affiliation, or present another person’s art, writing, identity page, account, or personal experience as yours. A kintype presentation always remains attributable to its owning account for safety and moderation.

Only upload material you have the right to use. Credit images and other works where appropriate. Do not use a real person’s image or identity in a deceptive, sexualized, or harassing way. Respond to valid rights-holder requests.

6. Keep the community usable

No spam, scams, malicious links, malware, coordinated manipulation, engagement fraud, bulk scraping, unauthorized automation, ban evasion, or attempts to probe or disrupt KinTypes. Do not create accounts to evade a restriction or help someone else do so.

Source and canon requests should describe a real source clearly. Keep source calls voluntary. Do not use a source record to target a person, pressure someone into a relationship, or claim exclusive control of a source or character. Duplicate, misleading, infringing, or abusive requests may be declined or removed.

7. Report; do not retaliate

Report accounts, kintypes, posts, comments, or sources that violate these rules. Reports preserve an allowlisted snapshot of visible evidence for authorized review; they do not automatically Block the reported account. Do not file false or retaliatory reports, and do not organize mass reports because of an identity disagreement.

Moderators may rate-limit activity; hold, reduce, remove, or restore content; restrict features; or suspend or terminate accounts. Automated signals can place reversible holds, but a final permanent ban requires human review. Contact admin@worldbuilders.app to request review of a decision.

8. Immediate danger

KinTypes is not an emergency or crisis service and is not continuously monitored. If someone may be in immediate danger, contact local emergency services or an appropriate crisis service. You can also report the content to KinTypes so we can take platform action when appropriate.

9. How these rules fit with your legal rights

Context matters, and enforcement should be proportionate. These rules do not prohibit good-faith criticism, identity discussion, recovery-oriented support, newsworthy or educational material, or legally protected activity merely because it is uncomfortable. They do prohibit using those contexts as a pretext for abuse, exploitation, or evasion.

These rules are incorporated into the terms of service. We may update them as the community and service change, with notice where required.
